- According to Consumer Reports: “8 out of 10 American consumers say they would rather buy an American-made product than an imported one.”
- The ©FONA International Consumer Survey, 2016 found that 59% of consumers preferred food products with a “Made in the USA” claim.
FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requires food suppliers to perform Foreign Supplier Verification (FSV) to ensure that non-U.S. ingredients are made with the same level of Food Safety required of U.S. producers.
